Internet Advertising for Visitors to your website
You have built your webstore and filled it with loads of well priced products.
You now need to entice your customers into you store.
There are a number of ways to do this from quick, easy and cheap to
expensive, long term and more difficult. You need a mixture of all of these. Here is a checklist:
Free visitors
Make sure your website is search engine friendly and then submit your website to the search engines
- this may take some months to develop any decent traffic :
Collection of Internet Marketing tools
One system that may give you a few visitors quickly (I'm still trying it out) is
TrafficSwarm - gives you free ad exposure on their
network in return for your visiting their website. If your website is aimed
at webmaster or website owners this may be especially rewarding!
If you need more hits you can buy them by upgrading (2,500 hits for 30$ per month)
Also worth checking out are:
Adland pro traffic exchange, pay per click, adverts.
Free Traffic Bar add a toolbar to your browser for free traffic exchange,
also pay per click and adverts.
Low cost visitors
If you want the visitors now and are prepared to pay - a pay per click campaing is a good way to start,
see our page on
an introduction to pay per click advertising.
Popunders and Popups
A very cheap way of advertising your website is by using traffic from popunders and popups,
I would advise against putting popups or popunders on your own website - but there is no harm in
trying this method to attract visitors to your own website - beware it does not work for everyone.
Before signing up remember that what they call a popunder click is not worth as much as a click from a
search engine. Someone clicking from a search engine is probably actively looking for your product,
someone seeing your website in a popunder is probably looking for something totally unrelated to your
website, but if you want to give it a go:
VisitorBoost.com trial - from $1.95 per 1000 visitors!
Another similar service, seems to be more expensive (89$ for 10,000 page views) and no 'low cost trial'
so I havent tried it myself yet is,
Adminder Guaranteed Traffic
For me the best results have come from free search engine submission and careful bidding
on pay per click search engines. Depending on your own website my advise is
try everything that you can afford and keep a careful log of what works and doesnot work.
